Welcome to The Windermere Hotel, a small, 4-star hotel in the middle of Humewood, Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). Our beachfront house is a peaceful getaway only steps from the Indian Ocean. It mixes contemporary style with loving hospitality. Since we opened, we’ve been committed to “conscious hospitality,” which means providing personalised care while also using eco-friendly methods to make your stay memorable. Our visitors gave us a 4.7 out of 5 rating, and we are proud to be more than simply a place to stay; we are a destination.

Garden View Rooms: These are peaceful places to stay that look out over our beautiful courtyard. They are great for solo travellers or couples.

Twins/Doubles: These rooms can be set up in different ways for friends or coworkers travelling together.

Special Touches

Guests get turn-down service, blackout curtains for a good night’s sleep, and hand-picked local amenities. We only allow two people per room to keep things quiet.

The Kitchen Restaurant

Our on-site restaurant delivers seasonal meals with an emphasis on fresh seafood and tastes from the area. Breakfast (included in the price of the B&B) includes handmade breads and ingredients from the area. It’s best to make a reservation for supper.

Places to Relax

Relax in our outdoor pool, which is heated by the sun and surrounded by subtropical vegetation, or have a drink in the courtyard. We don’t have a spa, but our concierge can set up massages in your accommodation.

We are located at 35 Humewood Road, which is:

• 350m from Humewood Beach

Our wedding packages turn our garden and terrace into cosy places to celebrate, and we even provide dining on-site.

We have quiet hours after 10:00 p.m. for the comfort of our guests, but our staff like to add personal touches, such dinners that are tailored to certain diets or surprises for anniversaries. Enjoy the best of seaside elegance.
