About Us
Elly’s Place B&B is a place to stay. Elly’s Place B&B, which opened in 2011, provides a little bit of Dutch friendliness to the beautiful community of Darling in the Western Cape. Darling is a peaceful getaway about 85 kilometres from Cape Town, surrounded by Swartland farms that grow wheat, dairy, wine, and olives. Elly is from the Netherlands and is a great chef and host. She makes her home a comfortable refuge with a rustic, peaceful environment.
Staying at Elly’s Place B&B
There are two pleasant double rooms at Elly’s Place B&B, each with its own bathroom and entrance. One room contains a queen-size bed, while the other has two single beds. The two rooms each lead out to a covered patio with a braai (BBQ) area that looks out over the quiet garden and pool.
Our cute wooden cabin in the garden has a queen-size bed, a shower room, a fridge, and a coffee/tea tray. It also has air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Every morning, guests may have a full breakfast in their room, along with complimentary tea, coffee, and rusks. There is a fridge on the stoep that keeps drinks cold, and you may ask for Elly’s home-cooked meals.
Eating and Relaxing
Enjoy a tasty breakfast every day and relax in the garden or by the pool. Elly’s Dutch-inspired baking and cooking make your stay extra memorable.
Amenities and Facilities
Our bed and breakfast has a braai area, a garden, and a pool where you may relax in the afternoons. Air conditioning, private bathrooms, and tea and coffee making facilities are all modern luxuries in each room.
