About Us
A Family Love Became a Place to Stay
Willie and Magdaleen Botha started Hops Hollow as a labour of love that combines artisanal brewing with friendly farm hospitality. The Botha family has turned the brewery into a one-of-a-kind attraction since they took it over from Theo de Beer in 2008. There, you can enjoy handmade brews while taking in the stunning views of the Drakensberg. Our business has developed from a small brewery to a well-known country home that offers immersive experiences for tourists, nature enthusiasts, and beer lovers. It is located at the highest point of the famous Long Tom Pass.
