Hoylake Inn – Our Story

Hoylake Inn is a large guest house on the top of the exclusive Bunkers Hill. Laura, Kim, and Dylan own and run it. Our property was built with peace and quiet in mind. It’s a calm getaway only a few minutes from East London’s lively shoreline, CBD, and major commercial areas. Since we opened, we’ve been committed to offering welcoming hospitality that combines contemporary amenities with customised service.

Place to stay

Our carefully planned rooms and apartments all have a mix of elegance and function, making them a relaxing place for both work and pleasure guests.

Standard Rooms

Takara: A double room with a Far Eastern style, an ensuite shower, a TV/DSTV, a desk, and air conditioning. Great for those travelling alone or with a partner.

Shakira: A double room with a view of the sea, a kitchenette, a nice sitting space, and a view of the garden. It’s great for long stays.

Studio Suites

Daria, Azzurra, Aurora, and Galia: Large studios with king or twin beds, kitchenettes, and living rooms. A few include covered balconies or stack beds for additional guests, making them ideal for families or groups.

Sienna & Marina: Bigger studios with daybeds, air conditioning, and modern kitchenettes that are both comfortable and useful.

Savannah: A king/twin room with an ethnic motif, a complete bathroom and a separate work area.

Apartment

Our two-bedroom apartment with inter-leading rooms has two bathrooms, kitchenettes and versatile sleeping arrangements, making it perfect for families or friends vacationing together.

Eating and having fun

You may choose a full English breakfast or lighter selections that fit your dietary requirements to start your day. Our honesty bar and domed dining room, which can accommodate up to 22 people, may also be used as a conference room. The braai area outside has ocean views and is perfect for sunset get-togethers. It has a wood-fired pizza oven and outdoor seats.
