About Pilanesberg

Pilanesberg is located in South Africa’s North West province, approximately 150km northwest of Johannesburg. This spectacular game reserve sits within the crater of an ancient extinct volcano, estimated to be over 1,200 million years old. The area features a unique circular geological formation with concentric rings of hills creating distinct ecosystems.

Pilanesberg National Park enjoys a transitional climate between the dry Kalahari and wetter Lowveld regions, supporting exceptional biodiversity. The park’s central location in the economically important Bojanala Platinum District makes it easily accessible while maintaining pristine wilderness areas.
