Just a 50-minute drive from Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), Amakhala Game Reserve offers the ultimate malaria-free safari adventure. Guided by an expert ranger in an open safari vehicle, you’ll journey through Amakhala’s vast wilderness — home to the Big 5, as well as cheetah, giraffe, zebra, black wildebeest, and a wide variety of antelope and birdlife.

Option 1: Half-Day Safari

Includes a 3-hour guided game drive, a delicious 2-course lunch and 2 local beverages (cash bar available).

Option 2: Full-Day Safari

Includes a 3-hour guided game drive, a 2-course lunch with 2 local beverages (cash bar available), followed by an additional 1.5-hour game drive in the afternoon.

Itinerary

• 09h30: Arrive at the Day Safari Welcome Centre for orientation and to meet your ranger
• 10h00 – 13h00: Guided Day Safari through Amakhala Game Reserve
• 13h00 – 14h00: Enjoy a delicious 2-course lunch and two soft drinks
• 14h00 – 15h30: Head out for a second 1.5-hour game drive for more unforgettable wildlife moments (Full-Day option only)

What to Expect on Your Day Safari

Begin your adventure at 09h30 with a warm welcome at the Day Safari Welcome Centre, where you’ll meet your guide and receive a quick orientation.

At 10h00, set off on a guided safari through Amakhala Game Reserve, followed by a delicious 2-course lunch with two soft drinks included at 13h00. If you’ve chosen the full-day option, the experience continues with a second game drive from 14h00 to 15h30 for even more unforgettable wildlife moments.
