Cathkin Cottage

Cathkin Cottage is a lovely, spacious place to stay in the middle of the Central Drakensberg, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The proprietors of the cottage are passionate about giving visitors a great experience, and they have a history of welcoming guests with open arms. Cathkin Cottage is simple to get to from the Champagne Valley and is surrounded by undulating hills, tall mountains, and clear skies.

Staying at Cathkin Cottage

We have two different types of places to stay that will meet your needs: Bed & Breakfast for singles or couples, and Self-Catering for groups and families.

Bed and Breakfast

Our five luxury en-suite bedrooms are designed to be comfortable and relaxing. Each suite has its own entrance and an outside sitting area where you may dine outdoors. The space looks out over the beautiful gardens and the spectacular Drakensberg. The rooms are carefully designed in different styles, so each guest has a unique stay. Every day, guests get a delicious home-cooked breakfast with a rotating hot menu, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, and freshly made filter coffee.

Self-Catering

If you have a big party, you may rent the whole cottage for yourself, which can fit up to 10 people. The fully equipped kitchen and braai area make it perfect for family holidays, and daily cleaning makes sure your stay is easy.

Room Features

Each room has a mini bar fridge, fans, heaters, and a way to make tea or coffee. Daily service, luxury linens, and blackout curtains make sure you are as comfortable as possible.

Eating and Relaxing

Cathkin Cottage doesn’t have a restaurant on the property, but visitors may enjoy a tasty home-cooked breakfast as part of the Bed & Breakfast option. The Champagne Valley has a lot of places to dine, from casual to upscale cuisine. A health spa within walking distance offers treatments, including a deluxe Couples Package, for the best relaxation.
