About Nxuba
Nxuba (formerly Cradock) is a historic town located in the Eastern Cape‘s Great Karoo region, approximately 250km northeast of Gqeberha. Situated on the banks of the Great Fish River, this frontier settlement was established in 1813 as a defensive outpost and has retained much of its 19th-century character. The surrounding landscape features typical Karoo semi-desert vegetation with dramatic rock formations and wide open spaces.
Nxuba’s position along the N10 highway makes it an important stopover between the coastal cities and inland regions. The nearby Mountain Zebra National Park protects rare Cape mountain zebras and offers spectacular views of the Karoo plains.
