About Us
28 Stoneshill Guesthouse is a peaceful, farm-style place to stay with pets approximately 7 km outside of Makhanda (formerly Grahamstown) in the Eastern Cape. This getaway is on the R67 road to Port Alfred and combines the peace of the countryside with convenient access to town. The guesthouse was built as a tranquil place for tourists to stay. It has unusual decor, big grounds, and plenty of birds. Host Mike makes sure that every guest feels welcome and at home, making it a great place to stay for anyone who is visiting the historic Albany District.

Our five luxury suites are fashionable and economical places to stay with kitchens. They also provide stunning views of the Albany bushveld and the ocean in the distance. Every large double room has a fully equipped kitchenette, an ensuite bathroom and the option of a king-size bed or two twin beds. If you ask, we can make room for a third person. All of the rooms have showers, but only three have full-size bathrooms.

Our rooms are totally self-catering, however they do provide tea, coffee, and clean borehole water (spring water is also accessible nearby). The outdoor entertainment area, which has braai amenities, is perfect for stargazing at night.
