About Muldersdrift

Muldersdrift is mostly a farming area located in Gauteng‘s western region, approximately 35km northwest of Johannesburg. Situated along the banks of the Crocodile River, this countryside retreat offers rolling hills, working farms and stunning views of the Magaliesberg mountains. The area forms part of the Cradle of Humankind biosphere, with its rich red soil and open landscapes providing a peaceful contrast to nearby urban centres.

Positioned along the R114 route, Muldersdrift enjoys easy access to both Johannesburg and Pretoria while maintaining its agricultural character. The area’s Highveld climate brings warm summers with afternoon thunderstorms and crisp, sunny winters – ideal for outdoor activities. Numerous rivers and streams crisscross the landscape, supporting the region’s vineyards, equestrian estates and organic farms.
