Krugersdorp is a historic mining town situated in Gauteng‘s West Rand region, approximately 30km west of Johannesburg. Founded in 1887 during the Witwatersrand gold rush, this former boomtown retains its mining character while serving as gateway to the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site.
