The drive to Waterfall Bluff, where the Mkhambathi River makes a direct 50-metre plunge into the Indian Ocean, defines the dramatic landscape around Ntabankulu. The reserve is also a destination for birdwatching and fishing for wild trout. For a different pace, the Mangwanani Boutique Spa Wild Coast provides a space to unwind, while the annual Mpondo Culture and Heritage Festival in mid-September offers a direct experience of local traditions.
