About Koue Bokkeveld

Koue Bokkeveld (meaning “Cold Buck’s Field”) is a high-altitude plateau situated in the Western Cape’s Cederberg region, approximately 200km northeast of Cape Town. This rugged agricultural area, sits at an altitude of between 800-1,400 metres above sea level, is renowned for its crisp mountain air, dramatic rock formations and extensive apple orchards.

The region’s harsh winters and cool summers create ideal conditions for fruit farming while preserving ancient San rock art sites that dot the sandstone cliffs.
