About Pringle Bay
Pringle Bay is located on South Africa’s southwest coast in the Western Cape, approximately 85km southeast of Cape Town. This picturesque seaside village sits between the towering cliffs of the Kogelberg Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, forming part of the UNESCO-listed Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve. The area boasts extraordinary biodiversity with over 1,600 plant species in its fynbos-covered slopes.
Established as a small fishing village in the 1930s, Pringle Bay has retained its unspoilt charm with strict building regulations preserving its natural beauty. The climate features mild, wet winters and warm, dry summers cooled by ocean breezes. Accessible via the scenic Clarence Drive (R44) coastal route, the village offers a peaceful escape while remaining within easy reach of Cape Town and Hermanus.
