About Riebeek West

Riebeek-West is located in the Western Cape‘s Swartland region, approximately 85km northeast of Cape Town. This tranquil farming village neighbours its twin town Riebeek-Kasteel in the picturesque Riebeek Valley, surrounded by rolling wheat fields, olive groves and vineyards with the majestic Kasteelberg mountain as a dramatic backdrop.

Established in 1858, Riebeek-West developed as an agricultural service centre with a more utilitarian character than its historic neighbour. The area enjoys a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters ideal for grain and wine production. Riebeek-West’s position along the R46 route provides easy access while maintaining its authentic rural atmosphere amidst the Swartland’s golden landscapes.
