Hornbill House is a 4-star self-catering place to stay that is located at the foot of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, between Onrus and the city of Hermanus. It is built for comfort and leisure. Our completely furnished apartments are a great place to start your trip to the Cape Whale Coast, whether you’re here for work or play. Hornbill House Rooms Are Comfortable

Hornbill House has six well-thought-out apartments, each one made to meet the requirements of diverse guests, from couples to families or small groups.

Unit 3: The Garden

This flat on the ground level has a king-size bed, a single bed in the living room, and a kitchenette that is fully stocked. It is a calm place to get away from it all. The covered patio has a built-in BBQ, which is great for eating outside in a beautiful setting.

Unit 4: Family Apartment

This first-floor property is great for families since it has two double bedrooms (with bathrooms) and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. It can fit up to six people. Indoor BBQs make for a cosy evening.

Unit 5: The Lounge

A garden suite on the ground level with a large living room, a king-size bed, and a kitchenette. The built-in BBQ inside makes it a perfect place to unwind after a day of visiting Hermanus.

Unit 6: The Courtyard

This property has a king-size bed, a futon sleeper, and a private courtyard with a BBQ area, making it great for couples or small parties. The kitchenette makes it easy to cook your own meals.

Unit 1 and 2: Open-plan bachelor apartments

Jono and Cara’s first-floor flats are great for couples. They include queen- or king-size mattresses, wet-room showers, and communal BBQ areas. They are a popular option since they are contemporary and in the middle of everything.

Our flats are self-catering, however Hermanus has a great food scene. Guests may enjoy local wines, artisanal foods, and farm-to-table dining at places like the Hermanuspietersfontein Market and the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley’s award-winning wine farms. Each flat has a list of the best places to dine.
