The Potting Shed Guest House

The Potting Shed Guest House, which is owned and run by Dave and Annamarie, was first an exciting and daring business. The pair left their life in the UK behind and took on the task of fixing up and maintaining a guest home in Hermanus, even though they had never worked in hospitality before. Their hard work has turned this place into a cosy, welcoming refuge that shows off their own style. The home was completely renovated in 2013, which made sure that it was always comfortable and stylish. The guest home is still a work of love today, with regular improvements to keep it charming.

The Potting Shed Guest House Accommodations

Our guest home can hold up to 12 people in three different kinds of rooms, all of which are designed for comfort and leisure.

Standard Room: Comfortable Style

Our Standard Room is great for couples or anyone travelling alone. It has a queen-size bed that can be turned into twin beds and hand-painted walls. Amenities include:

• An en-suite shower room
• DSTV, free Wi-Fi, and a place to make tea or coffee
• A safe deposit box and temperature control (fans and heaters)

Deluxe Room: A Lot of Space and Luxury

The Deluxe Room has a king-size bed (or two twin beds) and a private terrace with a gas braai for those who want more luxury. More things to note:

• A flat-screen TV with DSTV and a Nespresso machine
• Bathroom with an emergency light and an en suite

Studio Room: Privacy and Freedom

The Studio Room is great for honeymooners or longer visits. It has a private veranda with sun loungers and a BBQ. Highlights include:

• A kitchenette with a small oven, microwave, and fridge
• Air conditioning, a bath/shower combination, and a place to iron
• Breakfast is offered, although there are just a few alternatives for self-catering

Eating and Resting

Guests wake up to a delicious breakfast of freshly baked bread, granola, and other things. We don’t have a restaurant on the property, but our hosts are happy to suggest nearby places to dine. Our beautiful garden or pool are great places to relax.
