Majeka House

Majeka House is a top boutique hotel in Stellenbosch, South Africa. It is known for its beautiful mix of modern design and friendly rural hospitality. The hotel has built a reputation for quality since it opened, winning awards including Best Design Hotel from Conde Nast Johansens in 2017. Majeka House is a beautiful place to stay about 37 kilometres from Cape Town International Airport. It was designed by the famous Etienne Hanekom.

Majeka House has 21 carefully designed rooms in four different types, so every visitor will have a unique experience:

Premier Collection

These rooms are great for small parties or those travelling alone. They include baths with hardwood floors, soft Chrysalis 300 linens, and flat-screen TVs that can be seen from the bath. They are all designed differently, yet they all have a calm, luxurious feel with contemporary conveniences.

Garden Alternative

These rooms are big and quiet, and they each include their own balcony and a semi-private plunge pool area. Guests love the twin showers, large towels, and views of the garden-perfect for a romantic getaway.

Mountain View Selection

These rooms have beautiful views of the Helderberg Mountains and come with Victoria & Alfred bathrooms and heated shower rails. The private balconies include koi ponds and herb gardens.

Poolside Choice

These rooms include a semi-private pool in a quiet woodland setting that makes it hard to tell where the inside and outside begin and end. Clever design and petrol-blue sun loungers make this a private hideaway.

All rooms include air conditioning (which doesn’t work during loadshedding), free WiFi, coffee machines, and luxurious Malee body products.

Majeka Kitchen and Spa

Majeka Kitchen, the hotel’s restaurant, serves breakfast from 07:00 to 11:00 and lunch from 12:00 to 14:30. Drinks are served until 23:00. The award-winning spa has hydrotherapy facilities and provides holistic facials and body treatments. Day visitors who spend R250 or more at the spa may use the pool.

Facilities and Important Information

The boardroom at Majeka House can hold 16 people and has AV equipment and Lavazza coffee. During loadshedding, air conditioning is not available, even with back-up power. The hotel is closed for refurbishments until 1 September, but the spa and salon are still open.
