Mtunzini is a tranquil coastal village located on KwaZulu-Natal‘s North Coast, approximately 140km northeast of Durban. Situated between the Indian Ocean and the Umlalazi Nature Reserve, this hidden gem is renowned for its rare raffia palm forest and untouched natural beauty. The area enjoys a subtropical climate with warm summers and mild winters, perfect for year-round outdoor activities.

Located among coastal dune forests and wetlands, Mtunzini offers a peaceful alternative to busier beach resorts.
